I just have to squee about this --

A little while back, *HiddenCaitastrophe left a comment on one of my GW things, and because I like to do so, I went looking at her gallery to see if she had something cool on which I could leave a comment also.

I found that she'd made a marvelous pair of steampunk goggles from household materials and immediately started drooling. I said something to that effect in the comments, we got to chatting, and soon enough I'd commissioned a pair from her.

Well, they've arrived in the mail, and I love them, so I just thought I'd say so. She's helpfully uploaded a picture of them in a deviation here, so go look if you're curious!
