I made this stork for a friend's baby shower. I was up overnight working on it, slept a little, then finished it the morning of the day before the shower so I could go on to make other things for the same event!
It's basically a frame made from coat hanger wire and stuffed with plastic grocery bags. Everything is held together with clear packing tape on the inside, and the legs are also padded a bit with clear packing tape under the ribbon. Other materials: foam for the beak, wired ribbon for the legs and beak, heavy paper for the wings, feathers, two googly eyes, and an unwired satin ribbon for the neck. Oh, and hot glue. Lots of hot glue. |
